Typescript manuscript of reminiscences of the Civil War by private William B. Southerton from the Sandy Creek area in Athens County, Ohio, who was serving in the 75th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The reminiscences, related in 1935 by Southerton to Marie W. Higgins, include action in Gettysburg, Fort Wagner, and Andersonville. A photograph of Southerton at his 95th birthday is included.
